Funeral services for Mary Ida Rhodes Stockstill will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home-Monroe with visitation from 12:30 P.M. until time of service.  Rev. Rodney Sanders will officiate. Interment will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, Louisiana under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home – Monroe, Louisiana.

Mrs. Stockstill was born on January 7, 1929 and passed away on April 20, 2022 in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arel E. Stockstill; parents, Ruby and Robert Rhodes and great-grandson, Jacob Stockstill.

Mary is survived by her children, Arel Stockstill, Jr., Dianne Corbin, Pat Hammett (Sam) and Ronnie Stockstill; 14 grandchildren, Jeff Stockstill (Crystal), Kayla Deal (Bryan), Chris Corbin (Jacqui), Kim Smithwick (Brandi), Shane Higginbotham (Toni), Dustin Hammett (Julie), CJ and Possum; 7 great-grandchildren, Branson Stockstill, Kali Corbin, Blake Corbin (Stephanie), Jacen and Jaina Smithwick and Cole Higginbotham; great, great-granddaughter, Sidney Corbin; numerous other family members, nieces, nephews and friends.

Mary was a devoted and loving wife of 59 years, a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved her family very much and absolutely enjoyed being surrounded by them as much as she could.  She was loved by everyone.  She loved working in her flower beds and having cookouts, whether it was BBQ or frying fish, it did not matter to her as long as she had her family with her.  We all have so many memories that we will cherish forever.  Mary will be greatly missed by everyone.
