I've met Ms. Liz back in 2007 when I started my English courses at ELS language center in Ruston, Louisiana. She was my teacher, and always I'll remember her smile. Just seeing her smile makes me happy. A little smile makes the world a beautiful place. I still remember her joke at the end of every session "see you later alligator".. May your soul rest in peace Ms. Liz. We will remember you forever.

I met Liz through our diagnosis of mg. She was a strong woman, who endured much. I was so sorry to find she had passed, but feel blessed that I had a chance to know her and thankful for our friendship. Liz, you will be missed greatly.

I am so sad to hear this and please accept my heartfelt condolences. I adored her! She kept me out of trouble (aka talking and finding other stuff to do) by letting me go to the library when I finished early. It was my happy place. She also made me an excellent grader :) All these years later, I still have such happy memories of her. She was a wonderful teacher.

Liz, you were one of the first people I met at my first teaching job in the U.S. You were there when I announced I was expecting and also watched my son grow into school-age. You supported me as I grew as a teacher and over the years grew into an administrator. I will always remember your laugh, your sharp wit, your passion for teaching, your hippy stories and your willingness to go beyond expectations if students needed something. I'm a better person for having known you. Hundreds of students are more educated and living better lives because of you. We'll all miss you, but as you would probably say with a wry smile and a shrug, "What are you gonna do?"

Oh, my dear friend, you brightened our Friday suppers and cheered me at work. I shall miss you; I shall miss you. Sing out with the angel choir so I can still hear your chuckle.

Ms. Liz was a super nice lady, she taught me English while I was studying in the language center at Louisiana Tech University, she was kind and very strict in teaching, I learnt a lot from her. I will miss her and hope she would rest in peace. May God bless her! —— a former student from P. R. China
