Werner and Becky, there are so many fond memories of your mom (and the whole family) over the years we have known you. One of the joys of this time of the year for me, a few years ago, rather than mail a Christmas card to your mom, I would call and talk with her. It was joy just to hear that perky voice or hers. I am so sorry for your loss; yet with great confidence, I know she is home! Your family meant much to my family over the years. . .beginning when your dad moved the family to Quitman and began his career as principal of the school. Your mom and dad were such special friends to my parents. So grateful to have known you over the years. Praying for you both and the families. Lovingly, Carolyn B. Moore

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of a precious Christian lady who impacted many lives by her walk with our Lord. We didn't have the privilege of being in church with her as many did. My association was at Central Elementary where she could always be counted on to come to Grandparents' Day. Having had the opportunity to know Kristen, Taylor, and Kari, I enjoyed visiting with her and hearing first hand how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. She was truly special.... Rebecca and Werner, you have both lived up to the legacy left by your parents and you continue to be a blessing to all who know you. We are thankful we are in that group.

So many wonderful memories of this special woman! She was more than just your teacher, she was another Mom to her students and i was blessed to be one of them! I loved her as a teacher and loved her as a Pastor wife and servant of the Lord as she was an a ctive member in her Church during Bible School. Her family is such a resemblance of her love for the Lord and they continue to carry her words and faith in the Lord. I am truly saddened by her passing and prayers for her dear family during this time.

I visited with Ms. Mary during my younger years. She was always very kind and wise. Regardless of how big your problems felt or how guilty you felt for having them, you could always leave her home knowing that you were loved and accepted even if nothing was explicitly discussed. I'm sure she wouldn't want me to feel guilty that I haven't gotten to see her much in the recent years; maybe I'm being selfish because I wish I'd been able to spend more time with her. Regardless, I loved her and know how much she loves me as well as so many others. She loved talking about her years at Tech and her early years after graduation. We had the same undergraduate major.

Rebecca, Werner and family - I was blessed to visit with Mrs. Aswell in 2012, just before my father passed. She was such a blessing and inspiration to me throughout my life. There has never been a time I have not thought of her...teaching Louisiana History in 7th Grade...teaching GAs...learning about World Missions...visiting the elderly at the Ruston Nursing Home...so very many memories of both she and Bro. Aswell...I am so happy I was able to let her know personally what a continued blessing she had been to me throughout my entire life. She will be in my heart forever and always. I know she is residing in joy and peace, at home with her beloved husband and Jesus.
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
