Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary Balsamo will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral home West Monroe with Brother Eugene Brown and Pastor Neil Oldham officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
Mary was born on April 27, 1948 in Monroe, Louisiana, and was called home on July 18, 2020. She was a Christian and member of Cypress Street Church of God. Mary was a cherished mother, mother-in-law, mamaw, aunt, and friend. She was kind hearted, strong willed, and passionate about her family. A few sentences will never be able to express the value of Mary’s impact on people’s lives.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Balsamo, Sr., parents, G. E. Underwood, Sr., and Ouida; sisters, Audrey Courgham, Sara jane Lawrence, Gladys Gilbert, and Etta Tolbert; brothers, Charles and Marvin Underwood. Mary is survived by her children, Thomas “T. J.” Balsamo, Jr. and wife Ashley, Randall Balsamo and wife Judith; grandchildren, Tanner and Abigail Balsamo; sisters, Pauline Lawrence, Annie Pearl Balsamo, Joyce Dupree, and Faye Balsamo; brothers, G. E. “Junior” Underwood, Jr. and wife Barbara, and Ronald Gene Underwood; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give their deepest gratitude to Mary’s very special niece, Barbara White, who tirelessly gave herself to the care and well-being of Mary.
Pallbearers will be Zach Allen, Darren Balsamo, Hank Chriceol, Trey McLain, D. J. Patrick, and Bubba Underwood.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Allen and Devin Sanford.
