I am a student nurse, and I met Mrs. Mary the day she came to Glenwood, she became my assigned patient. I spent the 2 or 3 weeks she was there with her and I was lucky enough to get to hear about her wonderful family and great career as a teacher. I became very close to her and I was very thankful to be at her service. She was a blessing to me and she encouraged me everyday to do my best even when she was feeling terrible. I cannot describe how wonderful she was to me in the short time that I knew her and I would have loved to have met her earlier in life. My thoughts and prayers are with this family.

Mrs. Toft was my Program Manager for Monroe City Schools. I am one of the special education teachers that worked under her supervision. Over the past few years I had grown to respect and love her. Especially when I gave birth to my son, Michael Jr. who has Down Syndrome. It's hard for me to do this without crying, so I will just say she will be greatly missed and I will keep the family in my prayers.
