Mary Alice Littlechief Watson Memorial services for Mary Alice Littlechief Watson, age 60 passed away Sunday May 20, 2012 at her home after a brief illness. Mrs. Watson was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Ruston. Services will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, May 26, 2012 at 3:00 PM, visitation at 2:30 before services. Officiating the service will be Dr. Michael Hawley, Bro. Mickey Manning and Bro. James Grafton under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, LA. She will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery next to her late husband. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband Paul Watson and adopted Mother Anna Konad. Mrs. Watson was born In Lawton, OK on January 22, 1952 to Garfield Littlechief and Clessa Tointigh. Mrs. Watson was a Native American Indian from the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. She was an active member of Emmanuel church choir; she loved to participate in her American Indian culture as much as possible. Mrs. Watson was employed at Louisiana Tech University in the Dept. of Biological Sciences and would have retired in 2013; she loved working with the students. She is survived by her son: Joe Eric Holden of Dubach; father: Garfield Littlechief of Anadarko, OK; sisters: Kathy Toehay, Edith Littlechief, Linda Littlechief all of Anadarko, OK, Glenda Holden and husband James Holden of Tahlequah, OK; aunt: Doris Bointy Barham of Dubach, LA, cousin; Barbara Crawford and husband Davey Crawford of Dubach, LA, cousin; Billy Barham and wife Sheila Barham of Dubach, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
