Funeral services for Mary Alice Fletcher Gardner, 92, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, November 24, 2024 at McClendon Baptist Church. Dr. Kevin Stewart and Dr. James Gardner will officiate. Interment will follow in Enterprise Cemetery near Farmerville. Visitation will be held at the church, prior to the service starting at 1:30 P.M.

Mary was born on April 7, 1932 in Monroe and passed away on November 22, 2024 in West Monroe. She was known for a gift of sharing the word of God. Mary enjoyed singing her favorites like “He Touched Me” and “What a day that will be”. Her favorite pastimes were quilting, sewing and fishing only when they were biting! Most of all Mary loved shopping and cooking for her family and friends. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great- great-grandmother, pastor’s wife and a dear friend. She will be dearly missed but we have peace in knowing we will see her again one day.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, LeVerne “Lee” Gardner; parents, Regina Lewis Fletcher and John E. Fletcher; brothers, N.S. “Red” Fletcher and Robert Joe Fletcher.

Mary is survived by her children, Rick Gardner and wife Vickie, Mike Gardner and wife Shirley, Linda Gardner LaBorde and husband Dale, Eddie Gardner and wife Cheryl, Dennis Gardner and wife Misty; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many other cherished family and friends.

A special thank you from the family to Landmark Nursing and Rehab center and the therapy department for their loving care of Mrs. Mary.

Pallbearers will be Paul Gardner, Jason Pruitt, Matt Gardner, Terry Winn, Chris LaBorde, Troy Gardner, and Maverick Gardner.
