A memorial service celebrating the life of Martha Young, 89, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 26, 2025, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, Louisiana.

Martha was born on March 4, 1935 and passed away on December 21, 2024.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carrie Taylor; brother, Joe Taylor; and sister, Barbara Barker.

Martha worked as an accountant for many years.  Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, decorating, crafting, being involved in church activities and spending time with her family.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew her as Gran, were her greatest joy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 73 years, Richard Dale Young, Sr.; children, Elisa Cole and husband Edward, Jane Holland and husband Jay, Richard Young and wife Ashley; grandchildren, Matt Cole, Lauren Kincannon and husband John Martin, Miranda Blakeney and husband Ryan, Lindsey Scott and husband Joshua, Trey Young and wife Morgan, Kati Young, Kennedy Fox, and Brody Fox; great-grandchildren, Asa Cotton, Camden Jane, Carter Troy, Rye Taylor, Briar Russell, Liliana Alexander, Lee Alexander, Joseph Ray, and a baby girl, soon to be born; along with other cherished family and friends.
