 Graveside service for Martha Reecy Thompson, 81, of Covington, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Mulhearn Memorial Park. Rev. Phillip Brooks will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Reecy was born April 28, 1938 in Mangham, LA and passed away October 13, 2019 in Covington, LA.Reecy is survived by her husband, Walter Fred Thompson; 2 daughters, Tyra Knight and husband Brice and Cherie Rapier and husband Edward; sister, Emma Barry; 2 grandchildren, Michael Moore and wife Marissa and Adam Rapier; 1 great- grandchild, Elliana Moore; niece, Debbie Rockwell and husband David; and a host of other extended family and friends.

Dear family, I was so sorry to hear of Reecy's passing. She and Fred helped us to get our start in our marriage by selling us their house and living beside us for several years. She was there to help us when the twins were born and was such a good friend and neighbor. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She didn't let life get her down and looked on the bright side of all situations. She loved her family dearly and was very proud of all of you. We didn't get to see her in these latter years, but have fond memories of her. God bless.
