Mr. Johnston was my Electronics instructor in the early 80's in Bastrop. He was intelligent , helpful , consistent , patient and direct.I still have the lab books from the class and refer to them often. Each time I do I think about Mr.Johnston and how he affected my life.He was the best teacher that I ever had.I'm sure that he affected many people the same way.My condolences to the family.Kit Hayes.

I will definitely miss Mr Johnston driving up to my porch steps on his lawnmower, knocking on the steps with his cane to get my attention, I'd walk outside and before you knew it an hour or so had passed by just talking. Just won't be the same. Such a treasure and a blessing to have for a neighbor. I do have to smile when I picture him in heaven, walking up to Jesus with his new body, no cane, and just talking with his Heavenly Father and before you know it, an hour or so has passed. :)
