Funeral services for Marie Frost Howard will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Calhoun, LA with Rev. Neil Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA., under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.Marie Frost Howard was born August 17, 1927 and passed away on May 9, 2017. Marie was a member of First Baptist Church of Calhoun, LA., where she ran the show in the kitchen. She was retired as a Cafeteria Manager for Monroe City School System. Mrs. Howard loved to cook and feed everyone. Mrs. Howard is preceded in death by her husband, Velton Howard and her granddaughter, April Sanford.Mrs. Howard is survived by her daughter, Betty Quarles (deceased husband, Eddie), and her children Scott Perkins (Dawn) and Chance Perkins; daughter, Pricilla Purdy (Carey Don) and her children Donald Purdy (Jennifer), Danny Purdy (Ouida) and David Purdy (Rachel); daughter Nona Sanford (Ronnie) and her children Ryan Sanford (Crystal) and Jerid Sanford (Nicole); son, Mike Howard (Barbara) and his children Angie Richardson (Richard), Paul Howard (Melani) and Joey Howard (Candice); brother, Mickey Frost; and sisters, Mertice Lee and Elise Carow; seventeen great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.Pallbearers will be her grandsons.Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Calhoun, LA. Praying for the Family.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Howard family. Growing up in Calhoun, we all became part of one large "extended" family. I always remember Ms Marie's beautiful smile and was always there to support her family and friends. As I get older, I often reflect on all of those "Precious Memories" of our hometown. I look forward to the day when we will all be reunited with those loved ones in Heaven. "What a Day of Rejoicing that will be!"

Prayers for the family. She will be missed, but your memories of all the good times will sustain you. She was one fine lady, had a servant's heart, and heaven truly gained an angel.
