Graveside services for Margaret Marie Tisdale Kent will be 1:00 P.M., February 5, 2018 at Mulhearn Memorial Park with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Services are under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe.Marie was born August 9, 1920 in West Monroe, LA and passed away February 1, 2018 in Ashville, NC. Marie had moved to North Carolina in 1990 but had been a longtime resident of Monroe, LA. She was a member of Southside United Methodist Church. Marie was a member of the NELA Genealogical and Historical Society and the Louisiana Society of Radiological Technologists. During WWII, Marie studied practical nursing at E A Conway Hospital and later X-Ray Technology. She was preceded by her husband, Ward V. Jack Kent; grandson, Jeffery Lee Kent; son-in-law, Charles F. Sommers; parents, John and Florence Tisdale; two sisters, Earnestine Hembree and Evelyn Ticheli.Marie is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ann Sommers and Tonda Renee Pisani and husband Greg; sons, Jack T. Kent and wife Sue and Frank V. Kent and wife, Lynn; sister, Mary Lou Johnson; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

I hope that you find comfort in God’s promise to do away with sickness and death and the distress that results—permanently! We know this will happen because God gave Jesus the authority to heal the sick and power to raise the dead. The healing and resurrections performed by Jesus demonstrate this. (Luke 5:12, 13; John 11:39-44). Jesus’ kingdom government will bring to mankind this and so much more, yes “more than all we ask or imagine.” (Ephesians 3:20).
