Visitation for Miss Margaret (Maggie) McDonald will be 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014 at Feazel Chapel in West Monroe. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday, at Feazel Chapel with Rev. Roger Stoffer officiating. Miss McDonald was born Jan. 6, 1951 and passed away July 12, 2014. She was retired from General Motors having served as chairperson for the U.A.W. Local 1977. Maggie, as she was known to her friends, loved animals and had adopted countless pets throughout her life. She was a very giving person, not only to those in need, but also giving of her time to her church in any capacity she could fill.Miss McDonald was preceded in death by her father, Harry O. McDonald, her brothers Jimmy and Billy McDonald, an aunt, Happy McDonald, and an uncle, Jim McDonald. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Eloise Stalk of Portsmouth, Rhode Island; two nephews, Michael and Thad McDonald; one niece, Mary Margaret; and several great nieces and nephews. Also surviving Maggie is her cousin, Henry (Flip) McDonald and very special friends, Renee Davis, Karen Fike, Jo Lynn Gates, and Rebecca Skipper. Pallbearers will be Nathan Rice, Chris Bulloch, Phillip Beech, Roger Stoffer, Nathan Duff and Robert Simms.
