Funeral services for Margaret Evans will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Interment will follow at Old Union Cemetery, Columbia, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Margaret worked at Hendrix Restaurant and NLU cafeterias. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Douglas Ray Evans; parents Jeannie and Lois Alger; brother Charles Alger; son-in-law Sam Hymer.

Margaret is survived by daughters Cindy Hymer, Susan Ledet (Anthony), Lisa Evans (Don); son Chuck Evans (Donna); grandchildren Angela Crigger Harrison (Jesse), Jeff Hymer, Jacob Thompson (Erica); 6 great-grandchildren.

I wish I could have been there. I just found out about Mrs Margaret. She was my mom, Betty Robinson’s best friend. I got to tag along on some of their adventures & ate so many meals with them at NLU. They were both hot messes! They were so funny when they got together! What a happy reunion they will have, or have had already. Hugs & prayers for you all.
