Marcia was born April 28, 1945 in Ansley, Louisiana and passed away on June 18, 2024 in Monroe, Louisiana. She loved Jesus, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, along with her special dogs, Mr. T and Trixie and special cat, Boots. Marcia loved babysitting her grandchildren and mostly spoiling them. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, fishing and visiting with long distance family. We spent time on the farm in Bastrop, growing vegetables, canning, and cooking breakfast, especially biscuits and gravy. There were also special farm animals on the farm. We had Mama Moo cow, special Bantam hen, Little Mama. Sugar, her deer, was raised from fawnhood. Marcia loved the holidays cooking, piddling through drawers and boxes, making beds, sweeping, mopping and washing dishes by hand even though she had a dishwasher. She loved country music, Jimmy Swaggart, Jeopardy, Golden Girls, The Waltons, Andy Griffith Show, Three’s Company and the Wizard of Oz. Marcia was preceded in death by grandson, Trandy Allen Burge; parents, Frank and Clara Hinton; siblings, Vera Dunn, Clara Ayres, Katie Jimmerson, Linda Harvel and Angie Lee Hinton.
Marcia is survived by daughters, Carolyn Dehart and her husband Randy, Jeanne Burge; sons, Andrew Burge, James Burge and his wife Kathy; grandchildren, Justin, Daphne, Jason, Kelsie, Randa, James, Mark, Talor, Connor, Joseph, Joshua; brother, Frank Hinton, Jr.; along with other extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Justin Burge, Jason Burge, Quinton Lenard, Andrew Rowe, Randy Dehart and Doug Bordelon.
