Funeral Services for Mabeline Barnes Aswell 86, of Downsville, LA will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Downsville United Methodist Church in Downsville. Officiating will be Rev. Stephanie Green. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Downsville Cemetery in Downsville, LA, under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville, LA.

Mabeline was born on September 1, 1933 in Calhoun, LA and passed away on July 8, 2020 in Downsville, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, James E. Aswell, parents, James and Mertie Barnes, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Jerry D. Aswell (Peggy) daughter, Susan C. Holman, and son Danny R. Aswell, Sr, (wife) Judy, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 11 great -great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Chris Thomas, Keith Cockerham, Danny Aswell, Jr., Josh Aswell, Willie Ramsey, and Johnny McFarland.
