Funeral services for Lyndon Hammons, 81, of West Monroe, are at 2:00PM on Saturday, April 13th, 2013, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Danny Hawthorne officiating. Interment follows under the direction of the Kilparick Funeral Home of West Monroe in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Sikes, LA with Mike Green and Billy Bustin officiating. Mr. Hammons was born September 13th, 1931, in Sikes, LA, and passed away at his home in West Monroe on Thursday, April 11th, 2013. A retired printing supervisor for R. L. Polk & Company, he was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and long-time Sunday School teacher at Bethel, McClendon and Ouachita Baptist Churches. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin Jackson and Lela Bustin Hammons. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Frankie Springfield Hammons; daughters Frankie Turner and husband, Tony, Sherri Fletcher and husband, Steve; granddaughters Jamie and Jennifer Turner and Lynse Fletcher; great grandchildren Kalyn, Riley, Mason and Ava; and his brother Donald Hammons and wife, Dorothy of Alexandria. Pallbearers are Ray Holton, Carl Bustin, Billy Bustin, and Butch Bustin, Steve Fletcher, Marvin Wink, Mike Green, and Jerry Tolbert. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Albritton, Bobby Ingram, Tommy Dalton, and Tom Vickery.
