Lunell Holtzclaw Duke was born August 15, 1941, in Farmerville, Louisiana, and passed away October 21, 2021, in Ruston, Louisiana. Funeral services will be Monday, October 25, 2021, at 2:00 P.M., at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Interment will be at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Dubach, Louisiana following the service. Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021, from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Rev. Greg Tipton will officiate under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

She was a lifelong member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.

Lunell was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. “Buck” Duke, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by two children, son Kevin Duke (Stacey) of Mineral Springs, Louisiana, daughter, Connie Ledford (Billy) of Mineral Springs, Louisiana. Five grandchildren, Brooke Ellis, Tessa Ledford, Colby Duke, Dianna Duke, and Billy Ledford Jr. Lunell is also survived by seven great grandchildren, one sister, Jean Futrell, and one brother, Travis Holtzclaw. She also has several nieces, nephews, and friends to cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Colby Duke, Charles “Chucky” Slade, Michael Ellis, Rodney Howard, Rickey Reeveas, Billy Ledford Jr., Scotty Futrell, and Lee Holtzclaw.
