Funeral services for Mrs. Lula L. Griggs, 92, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Neil Everett. Interment will follow at Indian Village Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Mrs. Griggs was born June 16, 1914 in Appalachie, VA and passed away on January 2, 2007 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Griggs was a devout Baptist. Mrs. Griggs was preceded in death by her son, Kenny L. Saylor. Survivors are her daughters, Berthie Parli of Beecher, IL and Barbara Coley and husband, Raymond of Portsmouth, VA and sons, Kinard Ray Saylor and wife, Louise of Eros, LA, Raven Saylor and wife, Debbie of London, KY, Wallen Saylor, Jr. and wife, Tonya of Evansville, IN and Wilburn Saylor and wife, Geraldine of Mantero, IL and 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be John Paul Rieger, Ray Walters, Arlon Terrell, Ray Chapman, Randy Wilbanks and Robert Forrest. Visitation will be 5-8PM, Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the funeral home.
