Funeral services for Loy Carson, 94 of West Monroe, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 26, 2024 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe. Rev.Waymond Warren and Rev. Darris Waren will officiate. Interment will follow at Union Grove Cemetery in Lillie, Louisiana at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
Loy was born on October 31, 1929 in Winfield, Texas and passed away on October 20, 2024 in West Monroe. He was a member of Fair Park Baptist Church and retired from Atmos Energy formerly LA Gas. Loy was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Farrar Carson; son, Martin K. Carson; and daughter, Debra Carson Trahan and his parents, Oma Lee Satterwhite Carson and Ray Martin Carson.
Loy is survived by his daughter, Laurie Tannehill (Tom) of West Monroe, Molly May (Tom) of Owasso, OK; “favorite” daughter-in-law, Rhonda Carson of Conway, AR; grandchildren, Karen Trahan of West Monroe, Ben Trahan of Euless, TX, Keith Carson (Dani) of Smithfield, UT, Jeremy Carson (Patti) of Cabot, AR, Jody Carson (Beth) of Springfield, MO, Adam Tannehill of West Monroe, Kaylen Tannehill of West Monroe, Monica May Ebersole (Braden) of McKinney, TX, Allison May of Owasso, OK; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Carson and Kelsey Carson of Cabot, AR, David Carson and James Carson of Springfield, MO.; sister-in-law, Jean F. Kay of Farmerville; and many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be James Shipley, Richard Patterson, Doug Fleming, and Doyle Cox.
