Louise passed away peacefully at her home on March 30, 2025. She was born September 5, 1936, in Crowville, Louisiana, to Eva and Everrett May. Louise lived a life filled with love alongside her two sisters, Elaine Hodges and Jane Hill. A devoted member of Clarks Spring Baptist Church, Louise actively participated in her community and was a pillar of strength within her faith. Her 28-year career at State Farm Insurance brought her numerous friendships. Louise found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with her family. She delighted in taking her kids and grandkids shopping, cheering them on at sporting events, and passing down her creativity through sewing and crafting. Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Roy Lively; mother and father, Eva and Everrett May; mother-in-law, Mattie Lively; and granddaughter, Joann Jarrell.
Louise is survived by her loving children, Brenda Privitor, Linda Bowman, Royce “Butch” Lively (Alicia), and BJ Lively (Jennifer); grandchildren, Mike Moak (Halie), Jennifer Fletcher (DJ), Alisha Carpenter (Jason), Josh Bowman, Jessica Stewart (Jake), Rachel Coleman (Gary), Kelli Stephens (James), Linsey Haacks (Landon), Meagan Lively (Chuck), Kennedy Zeigler (Justin), and Eloise Lively; 25 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. All will forever cherish the memories made with their beloved mother and grandmother.
Louise will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind spirit, unwavering faith, and enduring love will forever remain in our hearts. Louise leaves behind a legacy of love and light.
The family would like to extend a special appreciation to their mother’s friend and sitter, Audry Fite.
