Funeral services for Lorna Aline Leach, 63, of Monroe, LA, will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Christian Life Church with Pastor Danny Chance and Jimbo Yocom officiating. Interment will follow at Coax Cemetery in Franklin Parish under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.Lorna was born on December 26, 1954, in Winnsboro, LA, and passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, in Monroe, LA. She was a 1973 graduate of Wossman High School and a member of Christian Life Church.Lorna was, of course, a daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, but she also held many more titles.”Family Historian” … never forgetting a face, name, date in time, or memory. At the drop of a hat, Lorna could take everyone back in time allowing us to relive a moment that all others had forgotten. Usually, she had a picture from her 35mm camera to back it up. If you didn't want something remembered, you had better made sure Lorna didn't find out.”Favorite CNA”… working hard at St. Francis Medical Center for 26+ years and retiring in 2005. She was beloved by her patients, many of whom often personally requested Lorna to care for them. After retirement, she frequently volunteered at the front desk of her residence, Frances Tower.”Avid Reader”… never missing her weekly trip to the local library. Lorna loved books and often read multiple novels at the same time.”Daughter of Christ”… allowing nothing to keep her from the House of God. She was a devoted Christian with a servant's heart, following God's greatest commandments of loving Him with her whole heart and loving others as she loved herself.Lorna loved life and her family with her big heart and sweet spirit. Second only to her love for Christ, she treasured every family member, never forgetting to wish a happy birthday or send a Christmas card. In return, Lorna was also a treasure to those in her family and will be cherished forever and remembered always.She was preceded in death by her mother, Garland C. Leach; maternal grandparents, Archie B. and Ruby Carraway; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Aline Leach.Lorna is survived by her father, Alvin W. Leach; brother, Donald Leach and wife, Martha; brother David Leach and wife, Judy; and sister, Elizabeth Bush and husband, Jay; nephews: Peyton Leach and wife, Angela; Chandler Bush; and Mitchell Bush; nieces: Jansen Martinez and husband, Mike ; Jaden Hubbard and husband, Blake; Jessica Leach; Jana Whitman and husband, Adam; Jesslyn Yocom and husband, Jimbo; and great nephews and nieces: Jillian, Griffin, Gunnar, and Everlee Leach; Maddox, Addison, and Paxton Martinez.Pallbearers will be Jay Bush, Chandler Bush, Mitchell Bush, Peyton Leach, Jason Jordan, and Ricky Carraway.Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 9, 2018, at Christian Life Church.
