A celebration of life for Lorin L. DeLancey, 88, will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 10, 2018 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Interment will follow at The Northeast Louisiana Veteran Cemetery in Rayville, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.Lorin was born August 16, 1930 in West Monroe and passed away on September 1, 2018 in West Monroe. He attended Landmark Baptist Church and was full of life. Lorin served the U.S. Navy for 20 years, traveled the world and was dedicated to this country defense and freedom. He was a member of the VFW, Fleet Reserve Association, and the Tea Party. Lorin loved his family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mandy May Hebert DeLancey; father, William Howard DeLancey; two step mothers, Clemmie DeLancey and Lilly Mae DeLancey; sisters, Silvia DeLancey and Loraine DeLancey; brother, Mike DeLancey.Lorin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Cora Blakley DeLancey; daughters, Cheryl Darlene Rials and husband Tommy, Marion Daisy DeLancey Murray, Alice Deborah DeLancey Bell, Katherine Diane DeLancey Barfield; sons, James Daniel DeLancey and wife Jerrye, Richard Damon DeLancey; brothers, Beryl DeLancey and wife Pat, Wilburn DeLancey; sisters, Janis Lowery and Rita Gayle Zuber; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
