Lonnie Skipper, 80, of Calhoun, Louisiana was born on August 23, 1943 and passed away on August 8, 2024 in Calhoun.
Lonnie was an Ironworker and veteran of the U.S. Army with the rank of Sergeant. His favorite pastimes were bass fishing, fox and deer hunting, and camping earlier in life. Lonnie loved gardening and raising beagles and walkers. His two faithful companions were his dogs, Cricket and Suzie. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Irene Collie and Odessa (Sunbug) Skipper, Sr.; sister, Mary Ellen Skipper Hammond; brothers, Odessa Skipper Jr., Robert (Skip) Skipper.
Lonnie is survived by his daughter, Caroline Skipper Zadeh and Husband Raymond; grandchildren, Madeline B Hutsell, Jackson C Hutsell; sisters, Geraline Skipper Morrison, Jeanne Skipper Harrison; and many other cherished family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Jackie Taylor, his most loyal and caring caregiver.
