Funeral services for Lois Sayers Taylor, 94 of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 27, 2011 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Michi Head and Rev. Chris Mclain will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery West Monroe. Mrs. Taylor was born December 13, 1916 in Summerfield, LA to the union of Joe Tom Sayers and Clara Cupp Sayers. She entered into rest on October 23, 2011. She was a member of McGuire United Methodist Church in West Monroe since 1949. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dalton Taylor; sisters, Minnie Routel, Maybelle Duke, and Joely Hamilton; brothers, Archie Sayers, Morell Sayers, Thomas Sayers and great-grandchild, Connor Taylor. She is survived by two sons; Kenneth Taylor and wife Janice of Cantonment, Florida; Charles Taylor and wife Macel of West Monroe; one daughter; Sue Hollingsworth and husband Bob of Westcliffe, Colorado; two brothers; Ellery Sayers of Arlington, Texas and Joe Ruel Sayers of Ringgold, LA; grandchildren; Ken Taylor, Jr. of Karnack, Texas, Rita Harrison and husband David of Cantonment, Florida, Amy Beckett and husband Steve of Ozark, Missouri; Marc Hollingsworth and wife Kathy of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Eric Hollingsworth and wife Jennifer of Kingwood, Texas and Jennifer Beasley and husband John of Madison, Mississippi; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Eric Hollingsworth, Marc Hollingsworth, Ken Taylor, Jr., John Beasley, Steve Beckett and David Harrison. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Sayers. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
