Funeral services for Lois Gray Jeffcoat, 84, long time resident of Dubach, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 13, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Dubach, Louisiana with Dr. Mike Anderson and Brother Terry Ganey officiating the service. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetary, Bernice. Mrs. Jeffcoat passed away as the result of a recent illness on Tuesday, January 09, 2007 in Knoxville, TN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dubach. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Buron Dewell Jeffcoat; sons, James Rodney Jeffcoat and wife Louise of Florence, Alabama, and John Kervin Jeffcoat and wife Ann of Dubach, Louisiana, one daughter, Sharon Jeffcoat Bartley and husband Ed, of Knoxville, TN, brother Travis Arthur Gray and wife Mary of Dubach, 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norma Pruett and Arthur Pleasant Gray of Bernice, LA; her daughter, Delois Ann Jeffcoat Barnett of Minden, LA; her sister, Elaine Gray of Baton Rouge, LA; and her grandson, William Shawn Barnett of Minden, LA. Pallbearers are great-nephews Cass Jefcoat and Mitchell Jefcoat, grandsons Jon Jeffcoat and DeWayne Barnett, and special friends, Victor Avery and David Deason. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the James Hamilton Sunday School Class, First Baptist, Dubach, LA. Visitation for friends and family will be on Friday night from 5-8 pm at First Baptist Church, Dubach, La.
