Funeral services for Lois Christine (Martin) Hill, 87, of West Monroe will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Lapine Assembly of God Church in West Monroe.Lois passed away on June 9, 2016 at her home following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 25, 1928 in Columbia, LA to Alexander and Mary (Bailes) Martin.She was married on September 18, 1946 in Springfield, Illinois to Wilbur Stanley Hill, Sr. They made their home in Lockport, Illinois for a few years, then relocated to West Monroe, LA.She was a homemaker and mother of five children. She retired from the Ouachita School Board at age 75. She loved to work in her yard and cook for her family.She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband and children, Kathleen Hill Naron; son, Wilbur, Stanley Hill, Jr.; grandson, Chris Hill, and great granddaughter, Hope Louise Staub; and numerous brothers and sisters.She is survived by a son, David Hill and wife, Jannie of West Monroe; daughters, Betty Hill of West Monroe, Linda Cary Eros; and daughter-in-law, Barbra Hill of West Monroe; grandchildren, Kim Baker and husband, Opie of West Monroe, Melinda Jones and husband, Jon of Petal, MS, Steven Hill and wife, Sherry of Texarkana, TX, Janet Staub of Ruston, and numerous great grandchildren and one great -great grandchild.; one brother, William Fulton Martin and wife, Evelyn of West Monroe.Lois was adored and loved by all who knew her.Pallbearers will be: Stephen Hill, Jake Hill, Christopher Hill, Bubba Miller, Jon Jones, Opie Baker, and Jason George.Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, June 9, 2016 at Lapine Assembly of God Church in West Monroe, LA.
