Lisa was an awesome individual who loved her children dearly. I had an opportunity to speak with her on several occasions and she shared how much she loved them. Although we love her, God loves her more and allowed her to come home. My prayers are to her family especially to her children.

Lisa, like Michael Jackson's song says "gone too soon". I remember you as one of the most intelligent students in our school. You had were beautiful, smart, and talented. I remember the last time we spoke...just last year... about this time. We were planning for you and the kids to come to the DC area to do some site seeing. And I dropped the ball. if we could only turn back the hands of time..cliche.. but so approptiate. You seemed to still have that joy in your voice and I could feel the smile coming through the phone. If only I had listen closer to what you shared with me. It is because of our short discussion that said a lot that is making it hard for me to accept that you are gone. You seemed sooo full of life. I asked myself how did I miss it. Especially when I thought about the same thing so many years ago and opted out. It is hard for me to accept because my memory of you was that strong person I heard in your voice who had overcome something so many people experience but are afraid to talk about. You are safe now. I am sure that one day your children will understand if not already. How can you miss someone who you have not seen in soooo many years?? I am sure you are being that guardian heavenly angel to your children just as you were there earthly guardian. You were loved and you will be missed. Good bye Lisa Hicks, say hello to my mom and dad. And I am sure your grandparents are happy to see you. Sheila

Lisa was a really good friend that I failed to keep up with the way I should have. She was a beautiful, intelligent woman who loved her family. She especially loved her two daughters and her son. I didn't see Lisa after I graduated from college and moved to Texas. I did speak with her on the phone several times in 2011. She told me about her children and spoke with pride about all three. When I last spoke with her, she was excited about getting back involved in her sisters' lives. I wish I had gotten to see Lisa again. Please accept my condolences.

Our boys are close friends. Well, were when I lived there in TN. I am devasted by all that has happened in the last two years and the path that has lead to here. I wish it were different. You are a lovely person and deserved so much more. We think of you are remember the smiles and the good times. Miss you.
