Memorial services for Lindsey Marie Wood will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 11, 2021 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel- West Monroe. Rev. Bill Dye will be officiating. The family will be receiving guests from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, prior to services.

Lindsey Marie Wood, 35, passed away suddenly Sunday, September 5, 2021, from complications due to pneumonia.  Lindsey was born February 22, 1986, in Shreveport, LA.  She moved to Longview, TX in 1989 where she attended school and graduated from Pine Tree High School in 2004.  Lindsey loved children and animals, especially her doggie snuggler, Burreaux.  She had many friends all over the country, via social media, many who shared the same medical issues as herself.  Lindsey communicated with many of these friends on a regular basis to check on them and offer encouragement to all in her compassionate style.

Lindsey is preceded in death by her grandparents, Layton (Papa) and Dot (Nana) Stephenson, Don R. Wood (Grandaddy), and great grandmother, Bonnie Redwine Hollis (MeeMaw).

Lindsey is survived by her parents Kathy S. Wood and Don R. Wood, II (Ricky) and wife Debbie; Grandmomma, Dianna A. Wood; two brothers, Taylor Wood (Taylor) and Shane Boyt (Ashley); two sisters, Kim Hebert and Courtney Boyt; uncle, Shannon Wood (Danyelle); two aunts, Kay Stephenson and Niki Wood; four nieces and two nephews; special friend, Thomas Schumate; and many other loving relatives.

We offer a special thanks to all of Lindsey’s doctors for the assistance they provided, over a number of years, for the complicated issues she had to deal with every day.

An extra special thanks to the Doctors at Willis Knighton Pierremont, and the Nurses of the 5^th Floor ICU, for their loving care and attention to Lindsey’s needs.
