Linda was born on November 9, 1945 in Dewitt, Arkansas and entered heaven’s gate on March 1, 2025. Her parents, Oval Charles “Rick” Miller and Lela Louise Miller, were rural farmers that raised their 10 children in the Mississippi Delta area of SE Arkansas and NE Louisiana. In 1961, Linda married Kenney Clark, after he completed his service in the United States Air Force, and they had two children, Ronnie and Rennie, who currently live in West Monroe. Kenney and Linda spent the first 57 years of their marriage in Eudora, Arkansas where Linda was a homemaker and spent her days raising gardens, processing vegetables, working on the farm and raising their two children. Around the age of 40, Linda completed her education, took the US civil service exam and became a rural route carrier for the United States Postal Service in Chicot County earning full retirement benefits after 20 years. They were members of New Hope Baptist Church in Eudora, Arkansas.
After decades at New Hope Baptist Church, Kenney and Linda decided to move to West Monroe to be with their growing family. They were quickly accepted into the Cypress Baptist church community where both continued their lifetime commitment to Christ. Linda was a beautiful Christian woman, loved the Lord, her family and her church family. She never once met a stranger and treated every individual she met with love and kindness. Linda greeted people with a hug, a smile and had a laugh that would brighten anyone’s day. With a voice as electric as her smile, she had a lifelong passion for public singing at hundreds if not thousands of church services including worship, weddings and funerals.
