Funeral services for Linda Davis, 74 of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 30, 2021 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ West Monroe. Rev. Norris Curry and Rev. Ricky Baker will officiate with interment following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes ~ West Monroe.
Linda was born on May 23, 1946 in Gary, IN and passed away on January 23, 2021 in Monroe. She graduated from Irvin High School in El Paso, TX in 1963 and went to work for the telephone company. Linda also worked for Roark Music, Lifeway Christian Book Store and retired from the University of Louisiana ~ Monroe. Linda was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Monroe and was a Sunday School teacher for the Faith Class. She was also the secretary for the LA State and Tri-State Singing Conventions. Linda’s hobbies included crochet, knitting, puzzles, reading, and she loved watching Star Trek, Star Wars, and Perry Mason. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Scarbrough; mother, Dorothy H. Board Scarbrough Parker and step-father, Aubrey Parker.
Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years, Gordon Davis; sister, Suzanne Wing and husband Wayne; brother-in-laws, Gary Davis and Garland Davis and wife Mary; nieces and nephews, Layne (Jen) Wing, Kristi (Brian) Elwick, Amber (Mike) Schmidt, Dennis Davis, Joe Davis, Sherry Thurmon; many other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Davis, Joe Davis, Greg Thompson, Kent Fuller, JR Robinson and Brian Elwick.
