Funeral services for Lillian Hood Fallin, 85, of Ruston will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Cook Baptist Church in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Rev. H.B. Fuller assisted by Rev. Todd Free and family friend Dr. Jon Barker providing special music. Interment will follow at the St Rest Cemetery in Dubach under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.Mrs. Fallin passed away December 9, 2015 in Ruston following a short illness.Mrs. Fallin was a lifelong resident of Lincoln Parish. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She began working for the Lincoln Parish Registrar of Voters in January 1975 and was appointed as Registrar of Voters in September of 1984. While serving in this position she was active in the Louisiana Registrar of Voters Association. She was recognized for her service by this organization at their annual conference in March 2001. Upon her retirement she was honored by her family with a reception at the Lincoln Parish Museum. The Lincoln Parish Police Jury and the Mayor of Ruston declared it Lillian Fallin Day. As much as she enjoyed her job, her great joy in life was traveling with her husband James.She is preceded in death by her parent: Seab and Gerstle Hood; three brothers and two sisters.She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years James Fallin; two daughters: Donna Waltz and husband Phil of Ruston and Barbara Monzingo and husband Jim of Haynesville, LA; one son: David Fallin and wife Jana of Manhattan, KS; four grandchildren: Laura Katherine Hawkins and husband Kevin of Ruston, John Monzingo and wife Michelle of Homer, Daniel Fallin and wife Jennifer of Manhattan, KS and Benjamin Fallin and wife Meghan of New Orleans; three great grandsons: Jackson Monzingo, Henry Hawkins and Charlie Monzingo.The family has requested that memorials be made to Macular Degeneration Research, 22512 Gateway Center Drive Box 1952 Clarksburg MD 20871-1952, or charity of donor choice. Pallbearers will be Kenny Ambrose, Mike Hilton, Wayne Houck, Richard Jones, Tommy Ledford, George Scriber, Mike Stone and Tim Whittington.Visitation will be Friday, December 11, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston.The family will be forever grateful for the loving care given to our wife/mother by Dr. Will Sanders.
