Graveside services for Lillian Cox will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens Open Air Mausoleum. Alia Edwards will officiate.
Lillian was born October 23, 1939 in Winnsboro, Louisiana. Our Mama, Rock, and Warrior went to Heaven and left this world on May 14, 2022. Even though our hearts are heavy, we do rejoice in knowing that she is sitting at Jesus’ feet with her Mama’s arms wrapped around her. She was the strongest woman we have ever known and we will miss her tremendously. Lillian retired from Bancroft Bag after 39 years so that she could help take care of her pride and joy, Noah Ray Brantley. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wesley, Sr. and Hattie Mae Pippins; 8 brothers; 7 sisters; 3 sons-in-law, Ricky Richard, Billy McCready, and Cecil Wyles, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory are six daughters, Deborah McCready, Sandra Richard, Patricia (Cissy) Taylor and husband Sonny, Karla Brantley, Sherry Wyles, Kimberly Griffin; her twin sister, Joy Ann Evans; 14 grandchildren; 26 great – grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; many other family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to The Heart of Hospice for the loving care of “Mama” and to our family and friends for loving and praying for us through her sickness. Special Thank you to Ginger Smith for helping take care of “Mama” in her final days.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Alex, Brian, Jason, Joseph, Noah, Sebastian, Lil Danny, Tyler, and Hunter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Med Camps of Louisiana (medcamps.org/donate).
