Funeral services for Bro. LeVerne “Lee” Gardner will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 5, 2020 at McClendon Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Stewart and Rev. James Gardner officiating. Interment will follow at Enterprise Cemetery near Farmerville. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. and 12:00 noon until service time Thursday at McClendon Baptist Church.
Lee was born November 19, 1928 in Baskin, LA and passed away November 1, 2020 in West Monroe. He was an ordained minister for over 50 years and had the opportunity to pastor numerous churches in Franklin, Ouachita, Union Parish Louisiana and Garland County Arkansas. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Lee was retired from the Monroe Fire Department after serving 29 years and he was an avid golfer.
Lee is survived by his wife, Mary A. Gardner; five children, Rick Gardner and wife Vickie, Mike Gardner and wife Shirley, Linda LaBorde and husband Dale, Eddie Gardner and wife Cheryl and Dennis Gardner and wife Misty; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jason Pruitt, Matt Gardner, Chris LaBorde, Maverick Gardner, Troy Gardner, Terry Winn and Colton Pruitt.
