Lester Kethan Sisemore, 71, passed away at his family home on October 9, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Lester was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 5, 1946. Lester graduated from Louisiana Tech University and the University of Oklahoma with a Ph.D in Physics. His successful career as a geophysicist was in the oil and gas industry.

Lester is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Sarah Sisemore, and his sister, Paula Sisemore Chiles. He is survived by his daughter, Melisa and husband Michael Morrison; sons, Christopher Sisemore and wife Maria, Lance Sisemore and Jaqueline Wise, Devlin Sisemore and Keon Sisemore; grandchildren, Marissa Sisemore, and Michelle, Caden and Amelia Morrison; brother, Karl Sisemore; sister, Linda Gail Corely; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 13, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home from 5-7pm. Graveside services will be on Saturday, October 14, at 10am at the Sisemore family cemetery.

Lester and I were one year apart at Quitman High School. He was a sharp guy who I knew would go far in his profession. I appreciated his help when I was taking physics at LA Tech. May God bless and comfort his family. R.I.P.

I didn't know Les for more than a few years, but he volunteered to teach computer classes with me at Trinity Methodist Church. He was always committed and dedicated. He offered spare time to help with our computers and assist students with any problems. He helped me numerous times creating manuals and organizing the classes and never made me feel I inconvenienced him when I called. And he always did it with a smile on his face! My life is better for having known him. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
