Dear Lenard Family: I was truly shocked and saddened Sunday night Jan 14 when I decided to call Leila from work and just see how she and her family was doing. Greg answered the phone and informed me of the dire situation. He however seemed happy to hear from me as I was also. He brought me up on his and all the family's current statuses. This lessened the shock when I read the obituaries in the Monroe paper. All of you are blessed to have had such a caring and Godly mother. I can only imagine how much you all loved her as I did the few short years I knew her. I was also very saddened when I read of Josie's and Carl's deaths. I still get many laughs from the jokes and stories told by Carl and Dalton sitting in their yard with Dalton's chickens pecking around.I know it's not much consolation at the present, but you can all rest assured Leila is at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ praising him with all the former saints before her. In case any of you didn't already know, there is absolutely no animosity between myself and any of you. I only wish God's best for all of you. In case anyone is curious I live in Pearland Texas, just south of Houston with my lovely wife Marsha and two teens William,16 and Christina, 13 who both think they are twice their age. I'm still doing the same job for the same company although it's changed names several times. Rest assured I'm still watching and controlling the pressure on the two pipelines through your old homeplace. Always your friend, Dean Ramsey

Your mom will always have a special place in our hearts. We shared so much together over the years from Good Hope to Community. She was a dear friend to my mother and to all who knew her. One thing I especially remember about Leila is the way she prayed. She is now enjoying fellowship with her "Dear Jesus." May God comfort your hearts now and in the days to come. Live for Jesus. That would be the best tribute you could give her. In Christian Love, Gary and Connie Brewster

Melody and Leslie: I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. Gertrude told me about it last night. Believe me, I know how heavy your hearts are right now and the only thing that will help is time and the Good Lord looking over you. My prayers and thoughts are with you. I hope you and your families are doing well. Take care and God Bless. Kathy
