Lavern Tiny Burgess Little, 86 years old went to be with the Lord Monday March 24, 2014 where she resided in Arbor Lake Nursing Home. Tiny was born with a twin brother (Lavon) making them the eighth and ninth children to the Late James Linton and Eula Adalaide Burgess on August 5, 1927. She married the late John Calvin Little of Huttig, Arkansas in 1946. They lived in Huttig, Arkansas and later Marion, Louisiana where they raised their eight children.Tiny was a devoted member of Litroe Baptist Church. She enjoyed sharing with people about three trips she made to the Holy Land. She became a beautician when she was seventeen years old and had a beauty shop in our home for many years. Her favorite pastime included; going fishing anytime, with anyone, anywhere. She loved to bake and there was rarely a day without a home made sweet at our house. She embraced her children and grandchildren with so much love. In her later years she enjoyed going to the beach every summer with her children and grandchildren. Words cannot describe the love she has shown her family. We have been blessed with a lifetime of memories that we will cherish forever.She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 44 years, John Calvin Little; son‚ Vaun Jeffery Little, Robert Neal Little, brothers, Leemon Burgess, Lee Burgess, Loyd Burgess, Lavon Burgess, and sister‚ Lennie Lewis, Lily Ruth Sawyer, Laura Pagan, and Lexie Tipton.Tiny is survived by her son‚; Lonnie Little and wife Carolyn of Colfax, LA; Mike Little and wife Loretta of Winnfield, LA; daughter‚; Theresa Moon of Farmerville, LA; Stephanie Pinsonat and husband Bernie of Baton Rouge, LA; Carolyn Pagan and husband Randall of Urbana, AR; Johnnie Baker and husband Jerry of Marion, LA; fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.We would like to thank Arbor Lake Nursing Home for the excellent care given to our mother. We would like to give a special thank you to Nelda Lowery of Marion for the cards she sent to our mother each week for the many years she was at Arbor Lake.The funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Marion on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with Bro. Bubba Hoggatt, and Bro. David Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Harper Springs Cemetery in Huttig, Arkansas.
