Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Caldwell Sharp, age 89, of Ruston will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Church of Christ in Ruston. Officiating the service will be Jim Davis. Interment will follow at Pines Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Sharp was born April 24, 1923 in Charleston, MS and passed away June 20, 2012 in Ruston, LA following a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by husband, Dr. Robert W. Sharp; and brothers: Henry, Jimmy and George Caldwell. She was a loyal member of the Church of Christ in Ruston, The Littera Club, the Ruston Chapter of P.E.O, and Two Bi-monthly bridge clubs. Mrs. Sharp is survived by daughter: Laural F. Sharp of Powell, OH; son: Robert W. Sharp, Jr and wife Barbara of Ruston, LA; daughters: Sara H. Sharp of Ruston, LA and Margaret C. Sharp of Monroe, LA; sisters-in-law; Sara Jo Caldwell of Jackson, MS, Betty Jean Caldwell of Franklin TN, and June Caldwell of Jackson, TN; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the GB Cooley Services, 211 N. 3 St. Monroe, LA 71201, or charity of donor's choice Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to service time 3:00 PM Saturday June, 23, 2012 at the Ruston Church of Christ.
