Funeral services for Kermit Bearden, 88, of Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Danny Baskin officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Kermit was born September 23, 1931 in Farmerville, LA and passed away February 18, 2020 in Monroe. He was a former member of Memorial Methodist Church and currently is a member of First United Methodist Church, Monroe. Kermit served as a Sergeant in Intelligence for the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired with 40 year’s service from Bell South and AT&T. Kermit loved gardening and woodworking. He is preceded in death by his parents, E.O. and Tina Bearden; brother Durwood Bearden and his wife Dorothy and Norwood Bearden ; sister, Patsy Revill.
Kermit is survived by his wife of 62 years, Darlene; children; Kevin Bearden and wife Christie, Sean Bearden and wife Emily, Kimberly Wyble and husband Jerry, Carol Smith and husband Matt, and Sharon Dillard and husband Wesley; brother, Ben Bearden and wife Sally; sister-in-law, Zemma Bearden and brother-in-law, Larry Revill; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grand’s and one on the way.
Pallbearers will be Stan Bearden, Steve Bearden, Zach Bearden, Sam Smith, Bryan Smith, and Ed Wyble.
