Kenny Cupps, 53, “a tree man for life” of West Monroe died October 14, 2011 as a result of a vehicular accident. He was born April 24, 1958 in Philadelphia, PA. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Bruce. His mother, numerous siblings, along with children, nieces and nephews and friends in the Philadelphia area survive him. Kenny was Butch and Rita Roark's “other son” in West Monroe. They will miss him tremendously. Kenny called Rita his Mom now or Ma. It was their close relationship that brought him back to West Monroe from Philadelphia. Kenny called Mt. Vernon Baptist Church “my church” recently. There he had friends who cared about him. Just recently, he accepted Christ as his Savior. All too quickly he was called home. Now all pain and his demons are laid to rest. A graveside service will be held Thursday October 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Burdeaux officiating.
