Funeral services for Kenneth E. Waggoner, 78, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 22, 2024, at Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana. Rev. Shawn Waggoner and Rev. Vince Roussin will officiate. Interment will follow with military honors at Cypress Baptist Church Cemetery, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe.
Kenneth was born on December 12, 1945, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on November 19, 2024. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War as an airline mechanic on various aircraft carriers with his last being the USS Coral Sea. Kenneth was a member of Mt. Vernon but attended Crossroads Cowboy Church. He read his Bible daily and loved to tell people about Jesus. Kenneth was a servant of God, and he was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. He also taught Sunday school for many years. Kenneth loved working outside, cutting trees and bushes. He was always on his tractor mowing in the field. But most of all, he was the greatest daddy in the world and will be greatly missed. Kenneth was preceded in death by parents, Jessie A. Waggoner and Gracie E. Willhite Waggoner; brothers, Jerry Wayne Waggoner, Robert Waggoner; and sister, Bonnie Waggoner Davis.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Tanya Martin Waggoner; daughter, Katrina Renee Waggoner Phillips; son, Kenneth Shawn Waggoner; grandchildren, William Drago Durrett, III, Mary Kathryn Durrett, and Victoria Grace Durrett; brother, Johnny Waggoner; nephew, Billy Wayne Waggoner; niece, Jerilynn Davis; along with other cherished family and friends.
Pallbearers will be William Durrett, III, Brad Moreland, Randy Russell, Ken Russell, Pete Pierce, and Allen Martin.
