Funeral services for Katy Minor Wade will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 6, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park in Monroe, Louisiana under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home ~ Monroe.Katy was born June 22, 1935 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and passed away on December 4, 2019 in West Monroe, Louisiana. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Katy and her husband, Aaron, owned Wade Floor Covering in Monroe, Louisiana. She retired from St. Francis Hospital as a LPN and in her spare time, she loved volunteering at St. Vincent De Paul Community Pharmacy. Katy was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Gray Wade, Sr.; her parents, Owen and Sarah Porter Minor; daughter, Susan Lynn Wade; grandson, Christopher James Barbara; sisters, Ellen Gomez, Joyce Mitchell and Jackie Lawhorn.Katy is survived by three sons, Aaron Gray Wade, Jr. (Becky Morrison) of Monroe, Louisiana, Johnny Minor Wade (Traci) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Stephen Neil Barbara (Lynn) of West Monroe, Louisiana; daughter, Nancy Ann Hill (Gary) of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Bryan Hill, David Hill, Nathan Hill, Shana Bourgeois, John Minor Wade, Anderson Wade, Campbell Wade, Clara Grace Wade, Adam Wade, Amanda Wade and Stephanie Hilton; great-grandchildren, Kolby Bourgeois, Kaden Bourgeois, Abigail Wade, Katelynn Clark, Landon Wells, Madalyn Clack, Asher Hill, Evelyn Marie Hill, Audrey Claire Hilton, Noah Hilton, and Briley Barbara; many other cherished family and friends.Pallbearers will be Bryan Hill, David Hill, Nathan Hill, Jonathan Barbara, John Minor Wade and Anderson Wade.The family would like to express many thanks to the Guest House Staff and Ascend Hospice for the loving care they provided for their mother.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
