My sweet granny went to be with Jesus Friday. We will miss her and her home cooked meals. I still have about 20 voicemails of her saying “Lana, I cooked y’all some dressing so y’all come eat or get Clark to come pick it up” or “Y’all come pick these blueberries before the deer eat them” or “I made some blueberry dumplings” or “Call me whenever y’all get out of the woods, I want to hear if y’all got a deer, I’ll wait up”. She the was the BEST “Granny-Great” to Kinley and Cameron. She always told us and everyone else, “I’ll be praying for you.” We loved her very much. ❤️
Dixie Taylor Hall left a message on July 16, 2022:
Ms. Brister was a bonus grandma to the Taylor/Hall/Hamm family. Every Thanksgiving we would overeat and go for a walk stopping on Ms. Bristers's porch. She was our tradition. She wrote me many notes, prayed for and called me. She walked me through happy and sad hard times. She sent bread and cookies. Our last visit I had come with blueberry scones and muffins. She did not seem herself so part of our family went over later that night. Caleb prayed for Ms. Brister. I asked Ms. Brister "Would you pray for us too?" She had a jolt of energy with great joy written on her face. "Oh, I am so happy to pray." Like a priest of old She prayed down the heavens." We love her and all the family we keep in our prayers.
