Karen “Casey” Alice Jones Lawrence was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and wife. Karen’s soul went to rest with our Lord and was reunited with her late husband, Andrew Banks Lawrence, on December 29th, 2024, at 85 years old. She will be deeply missed and kept in treasured memories.

A proud Louisiana native and cherished by all who knew her, she is survived by her children: Mark Andrew Lawrence (and grandchildren Jordan Kaye Lawrence and Macie Michelle Flores), Matthew Banks Lawrence (and wife Kelley Dawn Lawrence and grandchildren Nicholas Banks Lawrence and Caroline Grace Lawrence), and Michael Craig Lawrence as well as her sisters: Linda Jones Cole and Debra Jones Clay. In addition, her nieces Amy Cole Patterson (and husband Kevin Patterson and great-nephews Matthew Bret Silvey and Jacob Cole Silvey), Tina Cole Hendershott (and husband Ron Hendershott and great-nephews Richard Cole Boyett, Daniel Ross Boyett, and David Lee Hendershott), Katie Clay Dalrymple (and husband Kevin Dalrymple and great-niece/nephew Susan Clay Dalrymple and Timothy Bear Dalrymple), and Kendall Clay Louis (and husband Andy Louis and great-niece/nephew Mimi Kate Louis and Andrew King Louis).

Karen (endearingly known as “Casey” to most) was a beacon of unwavering kindness and gentleness to her family, friends, and colleagues. She was a loyal employee within the banking business for most of her life, working for John Emory Sr., whom she loved dearly, and eventually obtaining a Vice Presidency at Origin Bank. She was profoundly admired and will be sorely missed by those who had the privilege of working with her, knowing her, or being a part of her family over the years. Casey (“Nana”) never missed a holiday or birthday and always had time to talk. Our hope is that she is living out eternity in Paradise with Andrew (“Pops”) Lawrence and watching over us all. Rest in heavenly peace.

A memorial/reception will be held in the Community Room at Origin Bank on Saturday, January 25th between the hours of 4pm and 6pm. Come and go as you please as we celebrate Casey’s life.   Reception address is 1511 N. Trenton St. Ruston, La.  71270
