Funeral services for Karen Bailey will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Ron Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12:30 P.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Karen was born September 9, 1953 in Monroe, LA and passed away April 22, 2023 in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Shelton and Betty Sue Truett and a brother Bobby Shelton.

Karen is survived by her husband of 48 years Charley Bailey, Jr.; daughter Donna Bailey; son Kenneth Bailey; brother Johnny Shelton and wife Barbara; sister-in-law Pam Shelton; brother-in-law Robert Bailey and wife Kathy; sister-in-law Gail Bailey; brother-in-law Donnie Tucker; 3 grandchildren Kyle Bailey Pham and wife Jenny; Matthew Bailey Pham and Ayden Bailey; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Darby, Terry Rieger, Stuart Mann, Seth Thornton, Anthony Reed, Caleb Freeman, and Brett Allen.

I haven't spoken to Ms. Karen in many years. Her Son Kenneth and my son Andy were best of friends and she was so much help when my son passed away. I considered her son, my son and she felt the same about my son. The world lost a wonderful lady and her children lost a great mom. My you rest in the arms of our Lord.

Karen was such a unique individual. We were blessed to have been co-workers, friends, and family. We shared many laughs, good food, general chats, and more laughs. I have so many fond memories of times with Karen, and Charley, throughout our years of trail rides, work together, hanging out at the ultimate CED Christmas parties years ago, and most recently general chit-chats. She will be so dearly missed. I pray for peace in your hearts, knowing that she is in a better place. Love you all, Sandy
