Graveside services for Julia O’Neal Wroten, 87, of West Monroe, will be held at 3:30 PM, Monday September 13, 2021 at Hasley Cemetery Gazebo with Rev. Paul Laird officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Julia was born July 9, 1934 in Dodson, LA and passed away September 9, 2021 in West Monroe. She was a member of McGuire Methodist Church. She retired from Ouachita Parish School Board as a bus driver, was a beautician, and drove for Limousines Unlimited. She was a hostess for Kilpatrick Funeral Home, and was loved and admired by her co-workers and staff.
Julia was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Thomas O’Neal and Max Wroten; parents Morris and Velma Chappell; sisters Jean Elliott and Maurine Pipes; and brother Bill Chappell.
Julia is survived by her sons, Jay O’Neal (Katy), Carey O’Neal (Deanie), and Bart O’Neal (Rock Gable); grandchildren, Jay Thomas O’Neal, Jr., Floyd Mixon O’Neal, Casey Chappell O’Neal, Maggie O’Neal, Jesse Thomas O’Neal, Kathryn Raye Delgado; and numerous great-grandchildren and nephew, Jack Stacy.
The family would also like to acknowledge the children and grandchildren of Deanie Rogers O’Neal for their special care and loving attention to JuJu.
