Julia “Liz” Elizabeth Woods

November 27, 1960 - July 26, 2022

Julia Elizabeth “Liz” Woods, born November 27, 1960, passed from this life July 26, 2022 in Monroe, LA.  She was born in Monroe, the daughter of Julia Copeland and Travis Parker who have preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rosalyn Parker and Grandmother, Helen Jo Johnson.

Liz was a loving mother and grandmother who had a passion for children, family, and helping others.  She enjoyed volunteering and served for many years with the Family Peace Project in Athens, TX.

She is survived by her son, Johnathan Woods, daughter, Jennifer Maiden, wife of Michael Maiden and grandchildren Tristan, Kayleigh, and Payton Woods, Devon Lewis, Ruby, Alayna, Danny and August Maiden.  She also leaves behind a niece Amythest Ortiz and a step brother, and lifelong friend, Tricia Creighton, who will miss her every day.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 1 at 1pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, Monroe, La.
