A Celebration of Life for Judy Jones Cummings, 70, will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe, La. A visitation for friends and family will be held from 9:00 A.M.until time of service. She was born on November 25, 1953 and passed away on July 9, 2024.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Cummings; parents, Jasper and Dorothy Jones and a brother-in-law Tony Waldroup. She is survived by a brother, Jasper E. “Chip” Jones, III and wife Judy; sister Elizabeth Lea Jones Waldroup; 2 nephews, Ben Patterson, Nicholas Jones; niece, Beth Jones and other cherished family and friends.

Judy had many loves in life, including quilting, needlepoint, gardening and fishing. She will be missed by her family and friends.

So very sorry to hear about Miss Judy. Thank God she is in heaven with Donnie. I remember when I first came to Monroe meeting John’s friends they were all so welcoming and fun! Judy put up with Donnie like I did with John and we had so much fun getting to know each other🥰 I remember her love for her kindergarten kids at the time I was working at a school also! Their camp house was amazing and the big house was so much fun! Thank you both for the great memories you gave a girl from Kentucky. Rest in Peace my friends see you again at a big boil in the sky!

I got to know this sweet lady at Ridgecrest Nursing Home. She wanted to go home so much and be independent once again. She loved getting little gifts whether it was a piece of fruit or the Ouachita Citizen. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Lea and Chip, You have my condolences. This world lost a beautiful soul in Judy's passing. I can't remember ever seeing her without that smile and endearing way that she genuinely cared. She leaves a lot of wonderful memories and I pray that those will help you both through the days to come. May the Lord bless you and give you the strength and guidance for the days to come.

Lea and Chip, Judy's passing makes me very sad. Memories flood over me as I lovingly recall the early days of Blackwell-Chambliss. Murphy and your dad took a chance on me when they hired a skinny 17-year-old kid 65 years ago. I remember Judy's spunkiness, as well as her pizzazz! I send love and prayers to all of you. Evanda
