Funeral services for Juanita Holman, age 89, of Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Rev. Johnny Hankins will officiate. Interment is to follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Downsville, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. She was born October 7, 1922 in Calhoun, LA and passed away June 22, 2012 in Monroe. Juanita Blackie was a loving and devoted wife to Quent, her husband of 51 years. Her greatest joys in life included cooking for her family, watching her kids' ball games, and playing dominoes and card games. She loved the Lord, and her quiet faith served as a great Christian example to those who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quenton Holman. She is survived by her five children, Jim Holman and wife Gayle, Eddie Holman and wife Vanessa; Donna Joseph and husband Charles, Dale Holman and wife Coco, Faith Moss and husband Jeff; eleven grandchildren, T.J. Holman, Matt Holman and wife Laura, Valerie Holman, Kacie Wright and husband Robert, Lindsay Atkins and husband John, Dan Robertson and wife Shannon, Bethany Rush and husband Craig, Leslie Richman and husband Brad, Joe R. Joseph, Jenny Moss, and Andie Moss; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Clarence Antley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ray Antley, Carroll Thorne, Johnny McFarland, Reggie Skains, Dwight Lamkin, Paul Holman, Terry Holman, and Don Smith. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Greg Green, staff at Azalea Estates, Barbara Stevens of Alpha Care, and Karen and Lydia from Hospice Care Resources. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
