Mrs. Joyce Floyd Green was born on January 18, 1944 and passed away on October 20, 2016. She was a retired bookkeeper for Borden Milk Company. Joyce attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe formerly NLU and was on the bowling team. She loved to read, play bingo, and lived in Monroe since she was a child. Joyce and her family gave someone else a second chance to see by donating her corneas to the International Sight Restoration Eye Bank. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chancey Floyd and Lawson McMahon Floyd Simpson; stepfather, Alvis E. Simpson; grandson, Clayton C.J. Chapman; sister, Mary Greer; niece, Jamie Welch; brother, Charles Floyd and step brother, Norris Floyd.Joyce is survived by her son, Ed Chapman; daughter, Jodie Hall and husband, Chris; brother, Mike Floyd; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at a later date.Online condolences may be made to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com.
